- Daytona Beach
Cycle World Magazine - Photo Shoot on the Beach
Cycle World were interested in a feature
on the bikes and since Cycle World is the biggest selling motorcycle
monthly in the US, we were very interested in letting them.

Cycle World photographer gets down to it |
We had planned to meet Dave Edwards, the
editor of Cycle World magazine during bike week but schedules
collided, paths went uncrossed and it didn't happen until later in
the month.
Cycle World wanted to do a photo shoot
of the bikes on that part of the beach where the race used to take
place.
Although the old tarmac road has long
since been replaced by rows of hotels, motels and Holiday Inns, the
sand and sea remain as evocative as they were 50 years previously.
So the bikes were photographed with the
sea behind them - the only 'good' side the beach circuit has left to
show anyone.
Cycle World did us proud with a big
multi-page full colour feature a couple of months later. But
we had Project Daytona photographer Sam Trent on-hand to capture the
event and also take some glamour shots of the restored bikes with
the sea for a backdrop.

Sam's
photos were so good, we felt we ought to show them here... so we're
showing lots!
Enjoy.....
